People are often confused as to the purpose of coach versus therapy, or business consultant. We often refer to the job of a sports coach to draw the perfect picture. The purpose of a coach is to Measures, track progress, offer accountability, and feedback.

Whether in business or your personal life, you will find that your relationship with your coach is perhaps one of the most important relationships in your life. Your coach can be your friend, but will also talk straight to you and tell you where you’re going wrong. That’s something that most people will not do. Usually, because they are too close to you and either can’t see it coming or because they don’t want to hurt your feelings.

While a good coach certainly cares about your feelings they will always hold you to the truth of a situation even if it is a hard truth to swallow. They care about your success and doesn’t want an emotional cloudy day or particular situation hindering it. That’s why a coach is invaluable.
